Well yesterday was a BIG day! It hurts my little hands to even type that first sentence. I've been recovering in my pj's all day with my cat on my lap, tucked away from this Severe Thunderstorm watch we are under. I stayed up until 1:30am the night before this all began because I thought the voting would start at midnight CST on Facebook, had my posts and emails all ready to go, but no direct link to provide, and it wasn't on Facebook until a little after 9:00am Est. Then didn't realize you must first Like HomeAways before a comment box would pop up. So for those of you who emailed me that you tried to vote, thanks I appreciate it.

I was so overcome with joy at all of my friends and family who came through for me. This was no cake walk. I tweeted for 15 hours solid until 1:00amEST! Food was not really optional, and broke down for a 5 minute shower at 9:00pm... I couldn't take myself anymore. Having to creatively construct Tweets for that long of time is mentally draining. Who knew sitting on your couch all day for a double shift would suck the life out of someone? But my competition ran a tough game and kept me on my toes. I have one person in particular who sacrificed her WHOLE day, was sick, and has two children but she kept at it with me until midnight! My cousin Olivia is the BEST ever! My Dad did a pretty excellent job too... and I had many friends and family who surprised me and warmed my heart for all the support they showed. I know this was time consuming and I appreciate all they time they took out from their own busy lives to help out. I know a handful of you spent a few hours with your creativity and voting, when you knew you had nothing to gain except just to help and make this girl's dreams come true. Sorry to be all Hallmarky on you, but it needs to be said.


& I also thank those who gave a some dedicated blasts of tons of votes with my name... which I don't even recogonize right now. Have you ever seen your name written so much you start to feel detached from it? Made me so insecure I felt like hiding under the sheets all day!
 
I began this post much earlier today as I know some of you were wanting an update, but filtering through 3,100 votes on Facebook was no quick task and I wanted to share some of my favorite entries with you.

Sorry for my name so many times on one blog post. Promise it won't happen again.
