Paco Rabanne is a Franco-Spanish designer who has paved the way for designers of the world. When he was 18, he attended the National School of Art where he was inspired to make his very first accessories.
In 1966, his first collection featured unconventional materials such as metals and was amusingly titled 12 Dresses from the Material That Cannot Be Worn. Rabanne's collection was both revolutionary and daring. He introduced entirely new materials consequently opening the doors for even more creativity to flow through the fashion gates. He even made paper dresses that were sold in envelopes, playing with the idea of disposable clothing. Rabanne is an example of a true artistic visionary.

Sweet Nostalgia

While decorating the house for Christmas this past weekend, (yes that's right, already), I re-discovered a vintage Hershey's Classic flip cookbook. One I've had for years, but never used and sort of threw into the master recipe book. But I pulled it out for display because I thought it was perfect for my somewhat vintage kitchen and it's holiday decor. Well, I couldn't wait to get my hands on some of these recipes, and made the Hershey's Best Brownies! So yum!

Q: What is your take on fashion?
A: It always changes. Mood has a lot to do with that. Also, depending what my friends are into, I'll look into their stuff. We share our clothes and get ideas from each other.
Adding one touch of color to your outfit sometimes gives the added flair to an otherwise simple outfit. In this case, the black and orange cardigan complements the black ensemble, giving the outfit a very finished look.

Duck Under This Trend

The bubble umbrella is such a fun umbrella. Although they are all clear, some come with little designs like flowers lining the trim or a thick rim of color for embellishment. Not only are they aesthetically neat, but they are practical too. The half bubble shape more effectively covers your body by not opening as wide as a regular old umbrella does, therefore protecting your body from pesky side wind and rain.
Using this umbrella will have you singing in the rain!

Little Butterflies

I spent Sunday photographing at the AFSP Out of the Darkness walk. It was very inspirational for a darker matter, and great to see so many college students getting out there to spread the word to Stop the Bullying. Here are some pics from the butterfly release!

23 year old Blake Lively is not only an actress and model, but she has become a fashion icon. She has graced the covers of a considerable stack of magazines including Vogue, Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, and Nylon. She can pull of almost any type of outfit, whether it is business, dressy or a combination of both.
Her blond locks have become iconic and are the envy of many. Esquire's staff writer Ryan D'Agostino describes her hair as being like Brigitte Bardot's. Unlike Bardot though, Blake plays a delicate balance between sex symbol and a sophisticated young woman.
