I cant get particularly excited about this 'Washed Out' trend which is emerging for SS09- but i think this because with my pastey face doesnt benefit from the monotone colour vibe...
Even so, Rodarte seem to have plastered beige foundation on their models faces to match the beige on beige ensembles... and for some of us the make-up wont be necessary in acheiving this look.

Although they have some dip dye colour splashes thrown in for token contrast- the hand-cut leather tights seem to have stolen the compositional focus with the harsh fishnet-style lines drawing all the attention to the legs... If i were to invest in any item from this collection it would be the black tights with an oversized john smedley silk weave jumper= PREPPY SEX LEGS!
