Blahh

While in shock at the fact the intense circular King's library in the centre of the British Museum has been cleared out for 'exhibition space', I stumpled upon a mini-showcase of Else Peretti's work for Tiffany's. Now as much as I am not really a fan of the liquidic trademark style of the brand, I really liked her objects, especially the gold metal mesh scarf... and SCORPIAN NECKLACE. However I might just have to take a minutes silence for the memory of the old library (ok its not dead but no longer a public library)-

 R.I.P
THE WONDROUSLY GRAND SPACE OF STUDY, WITH ITS DUST AND DIM LIGHTING.
IT WAS NOT A LIBRARY, BUT A PLACE TO COME UP WITH WORLD-CHANGING IDEAS.
AN INTENSE PLACE THERE WHERE WAS NO ACCOMODATING FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN DEVOTED CONTEMPLATION. YOU WILL BE MISSED AND REMEMBERED
