Each time Madam Alexandra E is asked to do an interview.........I become quite hesitant.. because the angle of the story is usually in your favour... or against??. As critics..... the term being used quite loosely... people tend to jump to the conclusion that all we are set out to do.. is to 'tear down, break up and destroy' the subject of our review! This could be so far from the truth......!!! ( In my truth anyway). Madam Alexandra E. dishes out creative criticism. Opinions and thoughts which simply state the obvious... but never with any intention to disintegrate or destroy!!! Mwah xoxo. But instead always with the good fashion heart to provide feedback... to the 'creative' .. in order to excel and move forward. I always say to many emerging designers who have written in to me for advice... that, 'praise is good... but it will only make you jump so high, but not to your ultimate limit', 'judgement on the other hand.. will move you forward... help you to reassess what you already are best at, and how can you make it even better???? How else do the greatest designers in the world become the upper echelons of their industry??, through finding out what their 'fashion followers/ lovers/ appreciators' want!... At times the information/ review may be hard to swallow.... but swish it down with a good latte/ tea/ champer ( whichever you prefer).... sleep on it.. and put the creative brain into gear.. to apply!
My critic tongue is used merely to better what is already considered the 'best'/'unique'/ 'creative'..... within the industry. Love me or hate me Madam Alexandra E.
